Opera UK was founded in 2005 with the objective of presenting core opera repertoire in stagings that are both traditional in overall concept but imaginative and appealing to new opera-goers.  Productions attempt to capture the essence of the composers' intentions without being too restricted by period, place or previous performing convention.  The company is intent on telling a good story as clearly and enjoyably as possible.

Casts are selected from young singers starting out on their careers and the pricing policy is designed to encourage new audiences.
