Opera della Luna's new light-hearted programme, which derives its intriguing title from the Edwardian musical comedy The Geisha (1896) is well suited to the season of romance. Presented in revue form and devised out of material from opera, operetta and musical comedy it celebrates love and lovers with a sprinkling of the company's trademark humour and includes music by Noel Coward, Sondheim, Puccini and Verdi and Arthur Askey.
Singers Chloe Wright, Louise Crane, Bradley Daley and Ian Belsey with Artistic Director Jeff Clark at the piano are appropriately starry-eyed on February 14 at the Theatre by the Lake , Keswick and on the opening night at the New Wolsey Theatre, Ipswich, February 11.
